School Closures
Should Schools close due to this amount of snow?
To me they should do their utmost to open schools. OK so some kids and some teachers cant get there but the majority can. If the kids can go sledging then they can get to school!!! I have heard that many schools are closing as when they close it doesnt harm their OFSTED reports. If they are open and kids dont/cant get to school they are marked as unauthorised absences. So at the end of the year the number of unauthorised absences are published!!!!
