Blackpool Carvery
I dont know how many of you guys know this but Blackpool has great and cheap carveries. The ones I am referring to are the Tramway in Cleveleys and The Squirrel on Bispham Road, close to the old TVR factory. They both do a great carvery for £3.50 per adult Monday to Saturday. They also have some really traditional deserts such as orange jelly, mandarins, and ice cream (£1.60), Sticky Toffee Pudding and custard(£2.99), Apple and Blackberry Pie with Custard(£1.89), and a few more.
The carvery price does go up on Sundays but its still not bad for a Sunday roast at £6.50.

We go to The Tramway quite often, and have been to the Squirrell too, both are very good value for money, but just lately we've been going to The Harvester (was The Jubilee) on Cleveleys promenade next to the cinema, its not far to walk home after a bottle of the old vino hahaha

Up to last summer we were in there all the time from opening day because they were wheelchair friendly and their prices were so much cheaper than The Royal ,
Then they put the prices up so much ..TO COMPETE WITH THEIR SOUTHERN PUBS, that we stopped going, but we have been in lately and it was cheaper again,,,,but they had lost a lot of their old regulars....

Do you mean the Harvesters have reduced their prices or the Carvery have reduced their prices?

Oh sorry pete,i meant when the Harvester was called the Jubilee it was very reasonable , and did lovely meals, Then they changed to the Harvester run by a southern company who in their wisdom thought northerners would pay the same inflated prices as down south,so they put a pint of beer up by 50p,,,,,,,but we tight folk up here thought different and they lost a lot of regulars...when we went in a few weeks back it was cheeper,,,

Erm i think i had better get my facts right,, It was still called the Jubilee when it changed hands ,and the new owners put the prices up...After it was called the Harvester the prices came down a bit, but not as low as they had been before,,,

Had a lovely meal, not as cheap as the carveries but hey...

Was about 18 quid for 2 drinks,a pint of fosters...
and a large diet coke...
2 meals of steak and chips...
and all you eat from the salad bar...
Was very enjoyable...

Are those two carveries part of the Pub & Carvery chain? We've had some really good meals at some of those. The best bit is you can help yourself to veg so I have loads of veg and not so much spuds. A lot of restaurants are quite stingy with their veg.

We should go for a meal together. I could have your veg and you could have my spuds!
I love going for a meal with my daughter if there's side salad involved because she doesn't like salad and I get all hers, apart from the tomatoes. I'm allergic to them so we both give them to my husband!
