Post Fleetwood Pier owners admit: "We were not insured"
THE owners of Fleetwood Pier today revealed they were not insured and face being left £500,000 out of pocket by today's blaze.

there goes the theory shifted about that it was an insurance job due to planning restrictions!

It's a disgrace the way in which some of these grade I and II listed buildings are run sometimes. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with it. Regulation should see that owners are made more responsible.

Very true, in fact I believe a condition of the lease was that the pier was insured and it wasn't!!!! So to me the company who leased the pier should be prosecuted.
