No i know...my sons dog was under the table, and they live down by Wilkinsons,,,which is a fair way off

I do have to admit the fireworks were pretty cool was sat on my doorstep watching them in my pj's lol,and to be fair to everyone the mess was soon cleaned up the next day...hmmm roll on the next one???

Works site in near South Pier is moving to North Shore (next to Metropole Hotel) so it wont be long for the new middle section promenade to be opened. I wonder if this ready for the Queen to view???

They did say they were going to build a huge seesaw, one that several ppl could sit on at the same time, for family fun, is this still happening?

The main plans were for the peoples playground and the 'Northern Lights'. Unfortunately they needed something like £40 million to do it. They had applied for a Lottery Grant but although they got to the last 3 Blackpool was not selected.
As far as I know the plan is still to do it all but they just need the money. The 'Comedy Carpet' and the Tower Headland's staduim has funding and it is hoped to be ready for the Illuminations Switch on in 2010.

I did wonder if it was going to be a health and safety nightmare actually. Kids falling off, drunken adults etc... Prolly build it, someone will get hurt and have to close it, all that money down the drain...
